The year 2024 begins, and we want to set signs for a better future through dialogue, understanding, respect for the interests of others, but also the active promotion of commonalities. There is nothing good unless one does it.

The pursuit and nurturing of commonalities based on jointly agreed rules still seems to us to be the best response to what may separate here and there. With the new format of the Capital Talks, we want to correspond to this approach and offer selected speakers from politics, diplomacy, business, and culture, as well as equally selected participants from society, the opportunity for exchange. Respect for the other party, without having to share their views in every respect, is also fundamental to our approach, as is the confidentiality of spoken words. In this regard, the universally recognized "Chatham Rules" apply, which we ask to be observed.

We are particularly pleased to have already secured very interesting speakers for this inaugural event, who will bring us closer to their perspectives and help broaden our understanding of the respective other side. The event language, with the exception of English-speaking speakers, is German. See program attached.

With regard to the format and spatial conditions, participation can only be based on an expression of interest upon receipt of a confirmation of participation by email. This will also indicate the location of the event and the security requirements.
